2013
A collaborative work of dance, music, and installation. In an environment of instability, Miriam Parker’s led choreography explores line, demarcation, and the upward and downward flow of pattern within Jo Wood-Brown’s floating network of helium balloons and line. The improvised rhythms and winding cadences of music, played by Hamid Drake and William Parker, create stability and echo gravity and levity within the dance and the constructed environment.
InnerCity Migrations was performed at Roulette, Brooklyn, NY as part of Arts for Art’s Vision Festival 2013.
