Healing

2019

A video installation with performance created for the Women’s Biennial in NYC. It is the third generation of work in the Healing series created in collaboration with Christina Smiros.

In Healing I explored the subject of how we digest and assimilate calamity and displacement. Using the performers body as the conduit of transformation. Between projection and emotion.

Healing is a multimedia installation that grew from the video Metronome, with an environment created by cinder blocks Mylar Vinyl colored gells Tulle, and Paint.

The performance was presented daily during the Every Womens Biennial June 2019.
