Live is the Medium

2019

An audiovisual performance that amplifies the moment of improvisation through the interaction of the performers with speakers and projectors. In the live performance, Luke Stewart plays the acoustic bass through an amplifier to engage with sonic feedback, Miriam Parker works with movement and paint, tracing and retracing steps moving on a floor of mylar and paper, while Patrick Cain uses camera and projector feedback in a parallel visual process.
