Selfless Abandon

Selfless Abandon is a collaborative between Miriam Parker as visual artist and performer and Luke Stewart as sound maker and composer. It is an audiovisual performative practice, aimed to deconstruct the practice of creating focusing on the play between still and moving sound no sound, space and object. Luke Stewart plays with casting out nets of dynamic spaces through his physical movement language in interaction with the speaker. Miriam Parker plays with that space using the choreography of body to work with archetypal images, playing with the shifting of frequency and tone that Luke Stewart creates. The duo creates portals that allow for time travel and shape-shifting.

This project has been presented at In Gardens, produced by Arts for Art, Fridman Gallery, The Met Museum, Ps 1 MoMa Book Fair.
